RE: ISI and Proxy - AGAIN
[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
Hello all
Bob's solution helped - thanks very much.
However, we have both Web of Science and Current Contents on the Web of Knowledge platform and now:
- I can go to the Web of Knowledge home page and do a Cross Search of both databases.
- This gives a results list of brief records, ie, author(s), title, source and buttons to link to the corresponding record in WoS and/or CCC for the full record.
- If I try to link to either WoS or CCC from the Cross Search results list I get the 'you need subscription message' and can't go any further.
- If I go go to the Web of Knowledge home page and link to either database from here, I can search etc, but can't link to the corresponding record in the other database. Again I get the 'you need a subscription' message.
Does anyone have both WoS and CCC and has had the same problem? And found a solution?
Thanks again

Bob, Sara, and friends:
Looks like the Web of Science solution that Bob posted yesterday is one
that works for us, also. TWO entries should now be in the forwarding table:
isiknowledge.com (note no initial truncation)
portalXX.isiknowledge.com (where XX equals the number that your ISI account
goes to; ours is 01)
I've had two remote users test this morning and we seem to be able to
connect, search, and mark/save/export records.
Thanks to all - this list is a tremendous resource.
