Joanne,
As others have said, we also have an outlook mailbox set up which
receives a copy of each email that is sent. We have a series of filters
on that mailbox which filter into other mailboxes automatically on the
subject of the email, to divide them into Recalls, Overdues, Courtesy
etc. Then we have rules on those submailboxes which archive off the
server after a certain period of time (the time varies according to the
notice) to personal folders. Then again another set of rules on the
archive to delete them completely after a longer period of time. Again
the time depends on the notice - we keep recalls much longer than
anything else.
We can then search on name or email address of the patron to determine
if we sent the notice, and which address we sent it to. It was a bit
tedious to set up, but works well.
We also filter out the messages for other branch libraries, based on the
email subject, and send them automatically to the branches for them to
store using the same principles.

Subject: List of autonotices
Hello,
Does anyone know of a way to print up, or receive by e-mail, a list of
all
the autonotices sent out by e-mail? (Preferably listed by patron name.)
I
find it hard to believe that a sophisticated system like Millennium
Silver
does not have this capability. I know how to see if the autonotices
have
gone out, and whether or not there were any error messages. What I
would
like is a backup to use when patrons say they did not receive a notice.
It
would be useful to have this for all the notices, but I am particularly
interested in the recall notices right now, as they do not appear to be
going out consistently.
