The University of La Verne invites applications for an Assistant or
Associate Librarian/Professor, non-tenure track, 12 month appointment, for
the 2005-2006 academic year starting September 1, 2005. The
responsibilities of this position include the Circulation Department,
Reference Department, and Document Delivery Department. The position
requires a master?s degree in Library Science from an institution accredited
by the American Library Association; evidence of a minimum of 10 years
successful library administrative experience and/or professional experience,
(a second master?s degree or earned doctorate is preferred). Hiring salary
is commensurate with experience, and departmental equity. Benefits of
employment include a comprehensive health and welfare plan, tuition program
and a generous 10% contribution to the university?s 403-B retirement plan.
