- Subject: Getting statistics on how many bib. records added to catalog
Could anyone give me some information on how to get statistics on the
number of bib. records added to the catalog each month?
Using Created Date or CAT DATE doesn't work because we download/create
bib. records for ordering purposes. Using Updated Date doesn't work
because, while the "order" bib. would get updated when it is overlaid
with the final record, it could also get updated for other reasons.
Changing the CAT DATE or putting a date in some 9xx MARC field would
work, but that would be something extra we (and our "outsourcee"
vendors) would have to do.
In my old job, we used to print out the Record Loading Statistics and I
would just count them every month. But I do not have access to record
loading here; we don't download one of our vendors; and besides, I would
rather have Millennium do the work.
I would appreciate any suggestions you may have on how to do this.
