We have seen some weird behavior in Millennium, but this one is new. When doing a subject search in Millennium for a term that is not a library of congress subject heading, we see the error message: "Record Selected is not valid for this operation. Record type must be bibliographic, item."

The reason for the message is clear, the record has defaulted to a blank (c-fly?) Authority record. The original subject search that brought this up was the term "trivia". But we found that a subject search on the (erroneous) term "cooking" will cause the same behavior.

Has anybody out there seen this? We have a call open, but so far, no one has responded. We are a public library running Silver, our only Millennium module is circulation, everything else is text-based. We do not use III's acquisitions or serials modules.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
