The Marmot Library Network, a large multi-type consortium, uses Millennium
Statistics with some degree of success. We use create lists to capture the
item records for specific libraries and then run the create list through the
MilStat functionality. Because each of our members has unique barcode sets,
we are also able to run statistical reports using the ability to setup the
report using an index.
Definitely, a training session for the staff is a must.
If you'd like further information, feel free to contact me off list.

Subject: Millennium Statistics
Well, I've spent some time now looking over Millennium Statistics, printing
out the manual pages, the FAQs, the IUG powerpoint and I began to
wonder...How good is this subsystem in a Consortium? It is already hard to
use, throw consortium connected item records in there...and you have a mess!
I'm thinking about doing a mini training session for my staff, but so far
it's very hard to figure out what they might need to use it for.
What are you using Millenium Stats for? Would scoping help me use this
function better?
Thanks.
