RE: new to millennium

Sue,
Those macros look useful. I wonder if someone can tell me how to do the following in Connexion:
delete to the delimiter or delete to end of field (paragraph sign) when editing.
One of my catalogers used this in passport Shift + F7 and Ctrl + F7. I'd love a macro for this.
Thanks for any help.

Hi Daryl,
I'm not sure I really have any wisdom to pass on but I couldn't resist
replying to your comment about learning how to spell millennium. I'm glad
I'm not the only one who had problems with that!
I did create some macros I find useful in cataloging to reduce mousing.
F9 %ALT+g%e (Edit)
F11 %ALT+g%y (Summary)
F12 %ALT+w%i%ALT+n% (New item)
ctrl F1 %ALT+e%c (Copy record)
ctrl F2 %ALT+t%q (Send label to print queue)
So my normal way to catalog is pull up the bib and summary (I choose to
show the summary of records rather than go into the bib right away in case
there are notes in the order record for the cataloger). I hit F9, edit the
record, hit F11, say yes to save changes, hit F12, add the item record
information, hit ctrl-s to save and ctrl F2 to send the label to the queue
then alt-q to get out of the record. (Yes, it just occurred to me writing
this I could probably go straight from the bib to new item creation but
I've got the F11 F12 thing down now!)
I've also created alt-F1 %ALT+e%a which is transfer attached record but I
don't use that often.
With add-ons I pull up the last item record, hit ctrl F1, hit ctrl-end to
move the cursor to the end of the call number, hit return and add the
barcode and volume info, then again hit ctrl-s to save and ctrl F2 to send
the label and alt-q to get out of the record.
