I have to admit that this came from one our list colleagues. This was
one of those things where I did it correctly once, no one used it here
and I forgot how to do it. Then when people wanted to use it, I did it
the way you would find it in other environments (specifically,
"address1, address2"). When I contacted III about it, they told me it
was not possible. Then it appeared on the list and voila, it worked! I
used my own account as a sample and I consistently get multiple email
notices.
To answer your original question... no, it's not documented anywhere I
could find. The key is to not use a space after the comma.

Is this documented anywhere? My memory is notoriously unreliable but I
recall finding that when multiple emails were included (separated by
commas) no messages were sent. Admittedly this was some time ago, so
perhaps things have changed.
