- Subject: Setting up DNS for Web Access Management Tables
6.27.05
Good Morning Everyone.
Although we installed Web Access Managment a number of years ago, we are
finally attempting to implement it. I have read the documentation, faqs and
tutorials and called the Help Desk, who advised that I call (once again!)
upon the experience and expertise of the Listserve. So here goes: We have
a DNS using Windows Advance Server with Active Directory which does not use
the hosts.db.file. This is the file in which we are supposed to enter the
blank host name to create the *.web.library.edu record (as outlined in
the faq on CSDirect
http://csdirect.iii.com/cgi-bin/print-faq.plx). Does
anyone use this configuration with web access management? Any direction and
guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
