- Subject: Recently (re)designed WebOPACs
Thanks so much to everyone who responded to quickly to my request for
information! Since others are interested, I compiled the URL's I got and am
reposting here. There are some very creative ideas here, lots of good
things to look at and different ways to view and use the same system.
Many thanks.

We are on Release 2005 and are using many of the latest features including
the stylesheet. Our WebOPAC is designed to merge in with our Library's
website. Currently, our mainmenu page is not on the Millennium server
though we do plan to move it later this year.
The url for the Library is
http://www.library.uq.edu.au/ and for the
Catalogue it is

Linfield College: (in process, not yet published):
I have two versions in the staging directory you can look at. One the
opacmenu.html is out of the box with modifications - the mainmenu.html
(currently preferred) is a little different. Both will search the
briefcit.html example modified recently from the latest posted. This is
very much a work in progress, but I am very indebted to the example set and
the buttons made available.

One of the MOBIUS libraries (Missouri statewide consortium) has just done a
major redesign, which they're scheduled to go live with on Monday. I'm not
sure how much of the "newer example set" they used, but they do have tabbed
navigation and multiple search boxes on the advanced keyword screen. You can
see their test port version at:
http://laurel.lso.missouri.edu:2082/search~S0
They based a lot of their design on another MOBIUS library's, Washington
University, which is already live:

Ours rolls out officially next week. It's no masterpiece but serves as a
foundation for more scopes and enhancements coming in the fall.
We borrowed the tab idea from
http://tripod.brynmawr.edu and used the 2005
LE example set for the rest.
