Karen,
We recently ran the update on 352,000 items split into four review
files.
It took a little over 2 hours (mostly run before the library opened).
Our notes indicate that the system seemed a bit sluggish during the
update, but it was usable.

As the fiscal year comes to an end, I have been looking at updating the
year-to-date and last-year-to-date circ counters. (this will be our
first year at running this)  I would like to run this against the entire
item file, not just systematically work through the file via review
files as suggested in the manual.  We currently have 793010 item
records, of which 195464 are deleted.  Does anyone have any comments on
running it against the item file vs review files?  Can anyone give me
any time estimates for this many items? Thanks in advance for any
information.
