Hi --

We are getting into Fiscal Close season and surely you've seen the
sales, the candy, and the cards at Hallmark.

As many people will be going through Millennium Fiscal Close for the
first time this year, I thought I would share a two items that should be
on the top of your pre-close checklist of some things that you should
make sure are set.

First, make sure that you have the authorizations for Fiscal Close
(#405) -- See Users Manual Page # 106022 for more authorizations you
will need.

Second, make sure that you have the Fiscal Close mode selected for your
login. -- See Users Manual Page # 100606 for Millennium Acquisitions
Modes. NOTE: If you do not have an option to select Fiscal Close, call
the helpdesk and they can get it setup for you.

I have revamped my slides for fiscal close and posted them to my web
space:

UG_color_of_money.pdf

I have added slides for the presentation that I did earlier this month
to include:

Additional Fiscal Close Issues
* Endowments
* Deposit Accounts
* Payments applied to wrong fiscal year
* Amount of status "1" orders
* Negative Encumbrances (see http://csdirect.iii.com/faq/negenc.shtml)
* Funds out of balance (see http://csdirect.iii.com/faq/fob.shtml)
* If you are using Method 2, be sure to see the message on CSDirect
about the documentation.

Millennium fiscal close is fantastic and works like a charm.

Best -- Corey
