Protecting fields during import from Connexion

When one imports a single record from Connexion into Millennium, is it 
possible to protect specified fields from overlay?  Say we have a brief 
record with local subject headings that we don't want to lose in 690s, but 
the OCLC record is a full record.

Is this possible?
