Auto Notices

We would like to know how to set-up the auto notices job to combine 
multiple items (due on same day to same patron) in a single notice? 
Currently our patrons are getting multiple email notices from our system. 
We have tried the sort option to sort by patron type and then by barcode 
but it doesn't help. 

Any help would be much appreciated.
