Hello --

Please see below the new entries for the IUG Clearinghouse.

Please remember that you will need your IUG password (and do not share
it on the list). If you need your password, please ask your site
contact for the Innovative Users Group or one of the IUG Steering
Committee members (including me).

Right now, we have 75 entries. For more information and to submit
resources, please go to: http://www.innovativeusers.org/clearinghouse/

I also encourage you to look at some of the projects and resources that
you created for IUG and consider them for the Clearinghouse. In talking
with people at IUG, it is clear that we have created some really
tremendous things that others will really be able to use.

The URL for submitting new items is:

Here are the new entries --

Susan Jurist - (University of California, San Diego)

Title: Generating New Items Lists on Millennium
Training Manuals (Staff)
Description: Simplified instructions for creating new items lists (aka
"featured lists" or "create lists") in Millennium. These instructions
were written for bibliographers/selectors who have no experience running
complex boolean searches - or who will want to run complex searches. To
keep things simple, we set up a special login for them that only gives
them access to the "create lists" button and tried to make the manual as
simple and easy to follow as possible

Karen Perone - (Rodman Public Library)

Title: Z39.50 Settings for TLC's ITS MARC Databases
Settings, Z39.50
Description: Settings for adding The Library Corporation's Z39.50
databases to your INNOPAC/Millennium system for use with Data Exchange,
MilCat, etc.

Brooks Fancher - (Homewood Public Library)

Title: New Acqusitions list
Scripts (Perl)
Here is a perl script zipped up that creates a new acquisitions list by
title. It is based on Don Zhou's list by subject that he demonstrated in
2004 at the Boston IUG conference. My thanks to Don for the program and
for the example code from his presentation.

Lovell, Amy - (Duquesne University Center for Legal Information)

Title: Exporting Multiple Paid Lines from Order Records to Manipulate
in Excel
Training Manuals (Staff)
Description: Exporting paid line information from order records is never
a fun process, especially if you have multiple paid lines within your
order records or multiple order records for the same title. We use the
following steps to successfully export the paid line information so we
can further manipulate it in EXCEL. There are many steps, but they are
simple. No knowledge of a scripting language or EXCEL macros is
required.

Bob Rasmussen - ()

Title: Anzio and Print Wizard: Frequently Asked Questions for Innopac
and Millennium Systems
Software, Utility
Description: From the Anzio.com website, the Frequently Asked Questions
about using Print Wizard and Anzio (Telnet) programs with Innopac and
Millennium systems. Included are descriptions of the Print Wizard
software and how it can be used with both telnet and Millennium
interfaces.
