That seems to be limited to relevance ranked searches only. Data and alpha sorts seem to work fine.

That's because the question mark is not being properly encoded into %3F in the URL. If you manually change it in a URL, it works fine. The question mark is reserved and must always be escaped in a URL when it is not used as the 'cgi' separator... That should be easy enough to fix in the Javascript that produces the search URL on that page, you just need to escape the searchString variable before concatenating it with the rest of the URL.
