Millennium Receipt printing and Linux

Hey-
 
One of our sites is converting their circulation stations to Linux and
the sys admin says that Millennium outputs in PostScript which won't
work with locally attached printers.  So, he's asked me to make all of
the receipt printers III network printers.  This seems a little extreme
to me.  Any suggestions from you folks who are using Linux?
