I think you need the <!-- {nosort} *> token inside your search form. You can also hard code it by using something like:
<input type="hidden" name="sort" value="R">
where "R" equals the first sort value in your OPAC Option "Alta Vista Searching: Ranking Options" (D, A, or R)
We inserted our token just before the submit button.

We have been using a "Search the Catalog" option on our library's home
page for quite awhile but have only just discovered a Keyword search
problem that I can't quite figure out.
From our home page,
http://www.rodmanlibrary.com do a keyword search
for "neck pain" without the quotes. The hits number 181. If you click
the next page button, it shows "Keywords 13-24 of 181" but, there are NO
results shown and the same for subsequent pages.
If the same search is done from the catalog's main menu,
http://roc.rodmanlibrary.com or any of the search widgets within the
catalog, then there are only 7 hits and all display.
The problem only occurs with the keyword search. We are using the "Y"
search. I suspect this may be the culprit.
Has anyone experienced this or solved it?
Many TIA -- Karen
