standing orders and purchasing cycles

We recently migrated to Millennium and are getting ready to implement
acquisitions.  In planning our process for managing standing orders, we
are curious to know how others deal with situations in which the
publication frequency of a title is established, but the selector wants
it purchased on a unique cycle.  For example, Ulrich's is published
annually, but the selector only wants it every other year.

We know of at least one vendor that supports this preference (Baker &
Taylor), but how does one represent and manage that variable in
Millennium?
