Hi, everyone- I apologize if this topic has come up before on the list,
because I just recently joined, but I did try to search for related
threads on the listserv archive site.

My question is about the way Millennium handles 245 field title searches
differently than 222 field (journal title)searches. For the 245 field
search, if you search for "The New Republic," Millennium will pull up
the record that has "245 04 The New Republic". But if that record also
has "222 _4 The New Republic," Millennium will NOT pull up that record
if you do a journal title search for "The New Republic."

Has anyone else noticed this problem? Does anyone know if there is a
way to configure Millennium so that a user can type in "The New
Republic" for a journal title search and get the right record? Should I
submit an enhancement request to try to get this functionality?

Here at my library, we've been telling patrons to eliminate articles at
the beginning of their searches, but there are always the people who
don't ask and may think that we just don't have the title they need!

Please respond to me off-list, and I will be happy to summarize for the
list.

Thank you,
Rebecca
