We're a Dynix library midway through our migration to Innovative
(R2005LE).
For a variety of reasons we are reexamining our initial decision to do a
"flash cut" migration in favor of a "parallel" migration. There are
some issues
involving the conversion and migration some Patron and Circulation data
(esp.
in the areas related to holds, blocks, and various fee balances), that
are
less than satisfactory.
We'd like to hear from any recent Dynix migration sites (say within the
past year)
about their Patron and Circ data conversion experiences. We're looking
for
any suggestions for improving the process, things you might have done
differently,
mistakes to avoid, etc. Depending on the level, type of responses, I
could
foresee posting a pathway type document to the IUG clearinghouse for
other new
Dynix-III customers to use as part of their preliminary planning
process.
Please respond off list.
TIA.
