Hi Janet,
I'm using Dreamweaver MX 2004 with remote site settings as follows:
Access: FTP
FTP host: gutenberg.dur.ac.uk:1021
Host directory: <blank>
login: liveftp (or staging)
password: <your liveftp or staging password>
'Use passive ftp' is ticked.
Remember that in Innopac you need to enter the ip address of the
computer from which you are using Dreamweaver into the IIIFTP list under
the 'Limit Network Access' menu. If the machine's ip address is not
listed here an error message the same as the one you are getting will
appear whenever you attempt to connect to the remote site.
If you need any further help, please let me know.
Best wishes
Phil Brabban

Hi Everyone,
I have been working with our web master in setting up our staging
directories using Dreamweaver. We referred to the tutorials on csdirect
that describe the remote directory settings. We are not sure what
information goes in the Host Directory Box. We entered our processor's
ip and got an error message that said, "An FTP error occurred. Cannot
make connection to host. Dreamweaver encountered an internal error.
Please try the operation again." I opened a call with the help desk but
I have yet to hear back from them. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for
any help.
