Janet,

I had the same problem and after calling the help desk they told me the
port needs to be included with the address in the FTP host line. (there
was no separate place to enter the port). I am using Dreamweaver MX
2004. Under manage site > edit > Advanced tab > Remote Info - mine looks
like this:

Access: FTP
FTP host: library.clackamas.edu:1021
Host directory: [blank]

Login and password for your live or staging area and none of the other
boxes are checked.

Hope this help. If you have further questions please feel free to ask.

Hi Everyone,

I have been working with our web master in setting up our staging
directories using Dreamweaver. We referred to the tutorials on
csdirect
that describe the remote directory settings. We are not sure what
information goes in the Host Directory Box. We entered our processor's
ip
and got an error message that said, "An FTP error occurred. Cannot
make
connection to host. Dreamweaver encountered an internal error. Please
try
the operation again." I opened a call with the help desk but I have
yet to
hear back from them. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for any help.
