RE: vanishing java window

Good day,
  I am also seeing this both on my work laptop and on my machine at home
where I catch up on left-over to-do things at night.  I noticed the blank
window just in the last few days...AND for both silver and the prior version
we run on our SOLAR system.  Since it appeared right after the last flurry
of Microsoft patches, I wonder if there is a connection.  Like several
others have noted, its absence makes me uncomfortable because I, too, use it
to track recalcitrant sessions.
