Well, Here are a couple theories.
1. In CatME, go to the TOOlS menu, then to Options. Go to the "batch processing" tab and make sure that the box next to export under "Perform in Batch Mode" is not checked. I never understood why this one is the CatME default, but it is.
2. Click on the "export" tab. What do you see? There should be a reference to "Gateway export", followed by your Innopac DNS name or IP address and (5500). If its not there, click Create to set it up. See the manual, code page # 101521 for the recommended settings. You will have to re-export all the records once this is working.
3. What's the operating system on the new PC? If it is WinXP with service pack 2, it has an internal firewall that could be blocking access. Have you checked the Windows security center (I think its in control panel)?

Subject: Pass problem with CATME.
Dear Innopac users,
I have been struggling with a problem lately and was wondering if anyone else has come across this problem and may have a solution for it. We use the CATME program from OCLC to pass records to our Innopac. After imaging one of our Tech Services PC (which erased the hard drive) and installing CATME, we can no longer pass records from this PC to our online catalog. I checked the CATME settings on a working machine and set up CATME on the problem computer to be exactly the same and it could not pass records. I thought firewall may be a culprit, but this PC and our Innopac host are both inside the campus network. So the firewall could not be the issue. I turned off the firewall and retried passing records just in case and it still did not work. I don't get any error messages or screens indicating the export being attempted.
Have any of you encountered this problem and can give me some suggestions as for what to try which may correct it?
Many thanks,
Hadi
