Linda,
  It depends on 1) whether your system was set up to use the 505 |t to 
search for titles; and
                        2) how the notes are set up in your records.

We use the |t and the titles are searchable. Authors are searchable only 
as keyword searches.

:Look at your indexing options and also how your notes are set up.
