We use Code 3 to indicate whether the publisher is domestic (d) or foreign
(f) since these statistics come in handy when generating reports. All our
order records are suppressed from our Online catalog (Code 4 = s). Order
records created in training sessions are given code 4 = x).

We are reviewing our order record coding in order to eliminate some
problems that have crept in over the years. I'm interested in knowing
how other libraries are using CODE1, CODE2, CODE3, and CODE4. Currently
we do not use two of those and the other two are used for
housekeeping-type things. I'm looking for recommendations.

Thanks for the input!
