Kristin,

Will the Enhancement process include explanations of the reasons why specific enhancements submitted by individual libraries were not selected for the ballot?

Hello -

The Enhancements Co-Coordinators are happy to announce the preliminary
ballot for the 2005 IUG Enhancement Cycle.

The Functional Experts have been diligently working getting the
preliminary ballots ready. We had 1192 submissions from 189 different
IUG member libraries and systems. Getting them into the new categories
and down to 242 ballot items was not easy so our thanks go out to them.
As part the Enhancements process, we are going to have a public viewing
of a preliminary ballot of IUG enhancements prior to the IUG meeting in
San Francisco. For more information on the ballot numbers, please visit
the report below.

From this ballot page, you can download one ballot category into one
document. We expect to have a little bit of cleanup for the documents,
as we get closer to the voting date.

The final ballot will be available when voting starts (currently
scheduled for May 18, 2005). If you have questions, you may direct them
to:

Kristen Hewitt (hewittk at westervillelibrary dot org)

Mieko Yamaguchi (iss053 at bangor dot ac dot uk)

Corey Seeman (CSeeman at utnet dot utoledo dot edu)

We will notify the list when the balloting starts.

**Please feel free to share this with others at your library. You may
not provide this to people not currently at an IUG member library.
Additionally, please follow the guidelines of the List Netiquette on
enhancements: "You may discuss enhancements in general terms of things
you would like to see the system do. However, do not post specific
enhancements from the IUG ballot or Innovative's Preliminary Release
Enhancements on the list. Treat this as confidential information for
customers of Innovative only. If you have a question about a specific
enhancement on the ballot, contact the Enhancements Coordinators or the
Functional Expert of the module in question. Contact Innovative for
questions about items on the Preliminary Release lists."**

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via
email.

Thanks,
