Nope. They said that was the way of it...the first t-field prints on the circ receipt. That's why we made the 240 u change.

This approach might be good from a circulation point of view, but it could
really raise havoc with the opac display.
This approach might work well for a public library or smaller library, but,
if you have a large music, law or classics collection in your library, you
probably depend on the use of the 240 uniform title to search in your
database. Please talk about this with your technical services and
reference librarians before you change this. Maybe there are some other
ways to force the 245 to always print on circulation receipts rather than
the first field coded t.

We had this same problem - it appears to be a typical III record mapping
from the MARC record into the III field group tags.
If you search the archive for a posting by me last autumn with the
Subject: "Title fields on duedate slips" you will find some excellent
replies by others on the list, with specific information about indexing,
OPAC displays, and other "ripples in the pond".
We had a bit of a skirmish with getting this call assigned to the
correct team, but Monica Ertel at III was wonderful in assisting us, and
once our call got in the right place, the work was started, and
badda-bing, all done!
The problem of 240 fields appearing on duedate slips affects a small
percentage of our materials, but what a major headache and PR problem
with patrons.

This sounds like something our library would like to do. Are there
any issues that have come up because of this change? Also, does this
affect the OPAC display? (When our patrons search by author or title,
they often don't realize that the uniform title is showing in the browse
display - and don't go any further.) Did you change the field group tag
yourself, using Global Update, or did III have to do it?
Thanks for any input.
