By posting on a regular basis, you also have more accurate financial figures in the reports. We do not want alot of orders that have not been posted because that gives us the appearance of having more money than we really have.

You can see how many encumberances you have to post under in the Acquisitions/Serials Status line under Management Information (users manual page # 101562)

I don't remember how many records, but since we had a crash a few years
back, we post at the end of each day.
Only takes a few minutes, and we don't have to worry about losing
information, which we did with the crash.

Hi everyone-
I can't find any information in the online manual about this:
How many orders can we place before we have to post?
We migrated to Millenium (Silver) last October but used
Innovative's old acquisitions module 8 years back as a 'stand-alone'
product separate from another vendor's cataloging/circ/serials/ILL
modules. Back then, there was a warning about getting close to the
threshold and needing to post.

Thanks for your help,

kathleen
