Most of our electronic resources are available through IP recognition
for which we use Innovative's WAM proxy quite successfully. But, of
course, some resources do not offer IP recognition and require a login
and password. And we all know how difficult it is to try to manage
individual passwords.
I am looking for a way to simplify this. I have heard of others using
proxy software (though not necessarily Innovative's) to provide access
to a page with the password. Basically, the student is authenticated
through the proxy using his usual library login and then gets to a page
that provides the login and password along with the link for the
specific resource.
I can't quite see how I would do this with Innovative's WAM proxy. It
seems that I either have to be able to fake a way to get the user to the
authentication page without going through IP recognition, or I can try
working with patroninfo so that once the student logs in, there is an
option to link to the resource. But I can't figure out how to do either
of these.

Is anyone doing something like this with Innovative's WAM proxy?
Or does anyone have some other suggestion of how to handle logins with
passwords?
Thanks,
Maureen
