I have been very happy with the Data Exchange, but it could definitely use some enhancements. I think some more core FTP functionality would make it much easier to use and I agree that being able to set the local and remote default file would be great.

In the interim, I have setup Macros in Millennium and use the "Remote Filename" box to get to the directory. For me, I have Macros for the host name (Shift+F1), the Login Information (Shift+F2) and the Remote Filename (Shift+F3). The last macro looks like this:

'EDX.PCAT.TOL.RCD.YDX'%ENTER%

I really do not have to navigate up and down different sites, but can go right to the file with a Macro. We talked about Macros at ALA Midwinter and I was meaning to get thos e slides up on the IUG Website.

Hope this helps.

Corey

Mario,

In the "Look in" box is the pull down arrow showing? That is how you can go
up or down to any folder location. You're right that of the navigation
buttons there is only the "up one level" button or the desktop button but
the normal Windows pull down navigation works.

The one thing I would like to be able to do is change the default location
that shows. In our system at least it defaults to the local profile. Since
we have roaming profiles I don't want to place a lot of files in that
profile and instead use a file location on my c: drive. I have to browse to
it every time. I'd love to be able to set the location. I guess I need to
submit an enhancement request.

Sue
