Yes, Innovative gives the current headings according to the latest LC
heading subject heading lists.

"Horror stories" is not a valid Library of Congress subject heading. The
correct LCSH for this topic is "Horror tales."

However, "Horror tales" is a valid children's (juvenile) subject
heading.

There are records for both of these headings in the III authority file.
Your cataloger probably got them mixed up.

Subject: Invalid headings

Our cataloger had the following question, and I don't know the answer:
He wants to know if Innovative gives the current heading according to
the latest LC subject heading list(24th ed.) He got the incorrect
hearing for horror stories. How can we go about keeping them current if
Innovative does not do this?
Thanks,
Karen
