John:

Two things you can try, but take a look at my macro:
CS.AddFieldLine 51, "949 1" & Chr(223) & "q 2 " & Chr(223) & "t 0 " &
Chr(223) & "i 35117"

What this does to create an item record for us.

To make yours work, you can try to take it out of the quotes and also
make the c capital to see if it works. It works here.

This is the suggested version:

bool = CS.AddField(99, "949
*recs=bo;dflt=oclc,mono;c1=n;c2=d;c4=-;cp=1;ep=$19.95;fm=b;fd=05wcm;br=w
est;st=1;vd=bat6;" & Chr(223) & "rU456772")

Hi Don,

Can I ask you the context you use?

Here's what I've done with this:
bool = CS.AddField(99, "949
*recs=bo;dflt=oclc,mono;c1=n;c2=d;c4=-;cp=1;ep=$19.95;fm=b;fd=05wcm;br=w
est;st=1;vd=bat6;chr(223)rU456772")

And it isn't working. I must need some sort of other code around that
string. Any ideas?
Thanks

- John

John:

It is: Chr(223). Strange, isn't it? It took me a while to figure that
out.

Subject: OCLC Macro question

Hi,

Excuse my double posting, I'm in hurry.

This is probably very simple if you know, but I don't know. I'm trying
to make Connecxion macros to for 949s to control order record creation
in our III system. I am missing only one piece. Here's a sample of the
line with the problem:

bool = CS.AddField(99, "949
*recs=bo;dflt=oclc,mono;c1=n;c2=d;c4=-;cp=1;ep=$19.95;fm=b;fd=05wcm;br=w
est;st=1;vd=bat6;|rU456772")

At the very end, I need the dagger delimiter where the pipe is, right
before the rU456772. If we use this macro and overwrite the pipe with a
cntrl-D in the oclc record before we load it, it works fine. Can some
one tell me how to code that dagger delimiter into this line of the
macro?

Thanks
