RE: telnet on Sun V240

Thanks so much for the many helpful messages. I'm happy to report that
Innovative has solved our telnet problem by adding another terminal
emulation choice to our system: "Windows with Code Page 1252."
Our staff had been using VT220 because it showed diacritics properly in
the full screen editor, but VT220 didn't work once we moved to the Sun.
Windows...1252 has the functionality we wanted. Live and learn...

Hello again, with a rephrase of my question:

Is anyone successfully using the full screen editor on a Sun server with
VT220 emulation? I've heard from one other library that is using QVTerm
and has the same problem.

Thanks, Bonnie

Subject: telnet on Sun V240

Last week we migrated from an Alpha to a new Sun V240 server. Since
then we have lost functionality on the full screen editor that our
cataloging staff uses; for example, we can no longer "tab" between
fields. I have a call open to Innovative, but wondered if anyone had
experienced this. The telnet clients most staff use are TCP3270 or
HostExplorer.
Thanks very much for any suggestions,
Bonnie
