Is there a way to automatically free any "in use" ports at a designated
time at night?
Currently a consortium staff member manually frees all ports each
morning, as several member libraries, including us, often run into an
"all ports in use" even though we are no where near our limit. While we
have not been able to determine why this problem occurs, we find the
only way to ensure that ports are not locked is to manually clear the
ports each morning.
Because this solution relies on one staff member to manually free all
the ports, we are hoping there is a way to automate this process.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks.
