- Subject: Control of authors' names in table of contents entries
Hi folks,
Our library made the decision (years ago) to index author's names in 970
subfield f in our table of contents fields. For awhile we struggled
to keep up with the authority work on these names, but recently admitted
to ourselves that we may have to "let them go" (ouch -- that gives me a
pain!). I'd be very interested to know how others are dealing with this
problem (or not dealing with it). Please reply to me, and if there is
any interest I'll summarize for the list.
