Help Wanted: Young Adult Librarian. Want to make a difference and develop a new program? The Rogers Public Library seeks an experienced, vibrant, talented librarian looking for a real challenge. The head of a new department, this position entails total responsibility for developing a realm of services to local young adults. Additional duties include reference, reader's advisory, and collection development and maintenance. Evening and weekend responsibilities are required. POSITION REQUIRES an MLS from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent; knowledge of the essential elements involved in working with YA's in a public library setting including programming, interacting with local schools, YA literature, Internet, electronic resources, and current reference sources. Must be a self-starter, flexible, fun loving, well organized, and a team player. An ability to relate well to customers of all ages is mandatory. Two or more years of relevant library experience are desired.

Rogers is a town of approximately 40,000 located in the beautiful Ozark foothills of northwest Arkansas. Located in the heart of one of the fastest growing areas of the country, the library is expanding and looking for someone to develop a new program for our young adults.
