Conference Hotel Registration

Dear Colleagues,

Many of you have been waiting patiently for the IUG 2005 hotel registration 
to open.  I am happy to announce that the hotel registration is officially 
ready and available!!  Please go to 
http://innovativeusers.org/iug2005/hotel.html for details.  Many thanks to 
the 'involuntary' volunteers I recruited to help test the registration system.

To give you an update on the status of the hotel, Hilton San Francisco is 
in the middle of a 60-day cooling off' period.  This was agreed upon as 
both sides made significant progress on coming to terms during the last 
negotiating session.  Nothing is for certain, however, both sides are very 
focused on getting a deal done prior to the end of the cooling off period 
(end of January 2005).  I am optimistic that this situation will be 
resolved before IUG 2005 starts.

In the meantime, if you plan to attend IUG 2005 in San Francisco, May 1 
through May 4, 2005, you may book your hotel room(s) by going to

Please note, we are still working out details for Conference 
Registration.  We plan to open registration around January 20, 2005.
