If you go back two more years on the list (2000, 2001), I think you will find lots of info and thin client experiences. If you contact John Chambers of Arlington Heights Memorial Library (ahml.info) whom I worked with those years to install and test the thin client technology in the library. His knowledge and experience will be a great help for you...(jchambers at ahml dot info)
