I just received the following information from III when I asked how to
remove a single PDF file from a bib record without having to remove all
of the attached PDF files (as is required in Course Reserves if you
choose the option "Delete scanned articles." We are still a telnet
library for everything except the web OPAC and electronic course
reserves.) The only part that didn't match my system was step 3) Click
on the Media Icon. I was unable to do that, but it didn't seem to
matter. I was able to remove one PDF file.

You can do this in Millennium Media. Here are the steps
1) launch Millennium Media
2) pull up the bib record - title Western Legal Tradition Examinations
(b2799224)
3) Click on the Media Icon -- should look like Media (5)
4) Highlight the PDF file you would like to remove
5) Right click and select 'Remove'
Make sure your initials and passwords are allowed to do this function.
The MilMedia authorizations are as follows:
601 > Millennium Media view
602 > Millennium Media add
603 > Millennium Media modify
604 > Millennium Media delete

We are in the testing phase of going live with Millennium e-reserves
for Spring 2005. At the end of each semester how are those of you
using this program removing media files without removing bib
records--or can that be done?
