We have touch screens at our circulation desk and the staff think they're great!
Our patrons were somewhat surprised when they were first installed. Maybe they didn't that the library was that tech savvy.
The only down side is that you might find yourself poking at a non-touch screen and wondering why it isn't working correctly ;)

I'm looking for information on where to purchase two things as we begin
our upgrade path to Millennium.
Touch screen monitors
Keyboards with built-in touch pads or roller balls
They both seem fairly elusive to me. If you have purchased any of these,
I'd love to hear how your staff likes them in their work environment.
Many thanks!
