RE: Running wireless with Millennium

We did our initial Millennium Silver training on wireless. It was SLOW.
We were also used to the speed of the telnet version, with its almost
instantaneous response time, so the waiting was all the more
excruciating. Now, it very well could be that our local network was the
problem. But we're not going to use wireless on a regular basis, at
least not in Tech Services. It takes forever to open up modules, which
you have to do often when training and setting up. It still drives us
nuts that we have to wait sometimes for records downloaded from OCLC to
appear in Millennium, even though you can already see them in the telnet
mode, and that's when we're wired! So wireless is -shudder- not for us.
