IUG Clearinghouse -- email links instead of web links in resource material records

Hi -- 

I thought I would send out an email to the list to clarify one set of links in the resource records of the IUG Clearinghouse.  

Typically, the IUG Clearinghouse has resources that are hosted on the Internet and can be downloaded and used/read by the IUG member at any time.  However, not everyone has web space at their place of employment.  For these instances, the link in the IUG Clearinghouse resource record is a mailto link (which opens the local default mail program on your PC) and that you could write the author for a copy of the resource.  This is a bit disconcerting when you expect to download a document and instead pull up an email link.  We hope (down the road) to have server space on the IUG web space to upload documents for the people that have no web space of their own.  We are a bit away from that, so this was established as an interim solution.  

I encourage all members to look at the resources that are available on the IUG Clearinghouse and consider submitting some of your own.
