Hi -

I am at Emporia, KS State University.

We are a III site and use the 086 field for our SuDoc numbers. You can
go to our website at www.emporia.edu and click on the library site.
Then click on "Kellogg" which is our online catalog. You can then
search by call number to see how our records display.

If you have other questions, please feel free to contact me.

We are considering adding an additional call number index for Supt.
of
Docs. call numbers. Currently they are in our "other" call number
index
with many other kinds of call numbers.
Does anyone have a separate index for Supt. of Docs. numbers? What
has
been your experience with it? Do you have an index we could view to
see
how it works? Do you use a Scat table for Sudocs and is it useful?

We are also thinking about arranging our Dewey call numbers by "Dewey
index
rules". Can someone who has done this fill me in on how the call
numbers
are arranged, i.e. , do numbers come before letters? For example,
376.6
before 376 A58, or do letters a-z come before the decimal numbers 376
B58
376 R72 376.06 Am2 etc. ?

Thanks in advance
