The Castro book is delightful. It is terse, organized by topic and up to
date.

You might also search up "web design" on your favorite search engine. There
are more than a few sites that are devoted to giving design tips to full
blown tutorials, offering styles to emulate, ridiculing sites that were
poorly designed, offering technical advice on achieving cool effects, etc.

Surf's up!

Good luck,

Zoltan Tomory

I didn't respond back when the original question was asked, and I don't
recall what was said but, based on my notes from the last IUG, Dinah Sanders
of iii highly recommended "HTML for the World Wide Web" by Elizabeth Castro.
I haven't read it so I don't know if it specifically addresses Webopac but
it does address design etc. There was a session at PLA Feb.'04 in Seattle
about an opac design process, focus groups, paid volunteers to evaluate
alternative versions etc. don't recall if it was a iii site or not.

I am looking for informative resources discussing WebOPAC design
considerations: colors, layouts, etc.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you.
