Hi --

Please see below the new entries for the IUG Clearinghouse. We hope to
have a better means of letting IUG members about new entries to the
database. Please remember that you will need your IUG password (and do
not share it on the list). If you need your password, please ask your
site contact for the Innovative Users Group or one of the IUG Steering
Committee members (including me).

Right now, we have 38 entries. For more information and to submit
resources, please go to: http://www.innovativeusers.org/clearinghouse/

Title: Tokens and Style-Sheet Classes Found In III Example Files
WebOPAC, Custom Forms Created to help unravel the tokens and styles used
in the III-provided HTML files and styles.css. I only had time to work
through the files that are relevant to our OPAC (we use My Millenium; do
not use Acquire, Course Reserves, eCommerce, ERM, ILL, Kids, Request,
Suggest, or Z39), so this is not an exhaustive list.

Youngholm, Phil - (MARINet)
http://www.innovativeusers.org/cgi-bin/clearinghouse/view.pl?id=68
Title: Busy Records
Training Tutorials (Staff) A tutorial and reference for library staff on
busy records. In our consortium, this authorization is widely
distributed. It is important to know when and when not to free a busy
record, so this document describes how to make that decision, as well as
how to free a record.

Youngholm, Phil - (MARINet)
http://www.innovativeusers.org/cgi-bin/clearinghouse/view.pl?id=70
Title: "Output Vouchers" script
Scripts (Perl) This script, written for one of our consortium members,
takes the output of the "Output Vouchers" function and rewrites it into
the input format required by the library's accounting system. This
eliminates the need for double-keying of invoice data. The accounting
system in question is not widely used, so the script itself may not be
adaptable to other situations. However, it may be useful as an example.
It is accompanied by user instructions and technical documentation. To
obtain the script, please email Phil at the email listed below.

Deardorff, Thom - (University of Washington Libraries)
http://www.innovativeusers.org/cgi-bin/clearinghouse/view.pl?id=77

Library OPACs)

perl scripts that provide support for processing of national standard
MARC MeSH subject authority records for use in Medical Library online
public access catalogs. m[n]m is freely available under the GNU Public
License. Page also includes documentation, workflow example, and
presentations on incorporating MeSH subject headings into the
INNOPAC/Millennium system. One paper is called "MARC MeSH in the
Innopac" and it describes the design and evolution of m[n]m at Ehrman
Medical Library, NYU School of Medicine.
