After reading over the different ways libraries are manging their new
books, it seems to me that there must be a better way to provide this
popular service.
How about this enhancement:
Something similar to the way recently returned books work.
When a book is checked in from "in cataloging", the web opac displays
"new book" status for a library specified length of time.
