I looked at the LDAP product currently available in Silver and have decided to wait. In its present iteration it only authenticates for My Millenium access.

We are an academic library and use both course web resources on our local Intranet which uses LDAP for authentication, as well as electronic reserves which require a course password. I would love to be able to use LDAP for electronic reserve authentication via LDAP. So we will wait.

We are looking into what portal/ single sing-in options available to use. This is all part of a much bigger push by the our campus and fortunatly for us our library director is also the VP for Information Technology for the campus.

Hi there,

I was just curious about what other institutions were using for centralized sign-on technology with regards to web opacs. Are you using the LDAP product or holding out for something else?

Thanks!
