Hello,

We are a public library consortium that recently migrated to Millennium
and
are preparing to do our authority work. We have combined 33 libraries
into
one database that does contain quite a bit of original cataloging (i.e.
-
our catalog is far from perfect). The problem is that funding has run
out
and we are unable to afford to update all of our subject headings and
authors. Our thinking was to only do the records published before 2003
hoping that the ones from the last two years will be fairly accurate.
Does
anyone out there have any other ideas? Originally, we were hoping to be
able to do children's subject headings, genre's, etc... I just don't
see
how we can financially do it now. Any thoughts on this would be
appreciated.

I'm trying to download and install the milup131.exe (Millenium environment for Windows) to a computer running Win 98 SE. Everything appears to be fine -- the installation looks successful -- until I try to run Millenium. I get the first password request, then the menus fail

to build -- i.e. I see the progress bar but no progress is made.

Any ideas?

Robin
